The oldest existing guide dog school in the world, The Seeing Eye turned to BCS Interactive to create a web-based manual for puppy raisers – foster families who nurture and care for puppies until they’re ready to move on to formal guide-dog training.

Building for Convenience and Readability
The Puppy Raiser's manual is designed to give always-up-to-date guidance on basic manners and commands, socialization practices and preparation for experiences that range from shopping and car rides, to visiting airports and boarding airplanes.
ADA COMPLIANCE
Starting from the basic application code, we employed a rigorous compliance process to ensure that the puppy raiser manual was clearly interpreted by screen readers and accessible to all types of individuals.
READABILITY
Taking inspiration from Medium, we designed a clean, logical user experience that works across devices to help readers focus and absorb information. An accordian-based table of contents gives quick access to any areas of the manual.
SECURITY
To secure the manual’s proprietary content, we placed it behind a password-protected login, and incorporated a web token, which prevents users from sharing the information across the web without permission.
