Average Project Management Hours Per Week: 5-10; (heavier towards the initial discovery, creation) and launch periods of the campaign cycle

This is a client-facing position, and you’ll need to be available weekdays during the hours of 9AM EST - 6PM EST for potential client/internal team Zoom meetings

We’re BCS Interactive, a New Jersey-based digital agency that helps nonprofit, educational and socially-responsible organizations make the world a better place.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to oversee the planning, development, launch and optimization of an upcoming digital awareness campaign for a client in the education sector.

About the Project

The Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for overseeing each phase of the awareness campaign listed below, as well as managing the production team and ensuring that all parties stay on track

  • Discovery/Strategy/Planning - Here, you’ll help us determine campaign strategy, budget and overall campaign planning. Specifically, you’ll help choose the channels that will make the greatest impact: Search, paid social, display and so forth
  • Story and Content Development - Working with our production team, you’ll help develop campaign messaging, themes and content
  • Creative Oversight - working with our designers and production team, you’ll help develop the creative look and feel of the campaign related to landing pages and ads
  • Launch and Optimization - You’ll oversee the production team as they implement all of the creative into the various marketing channels, and then prep for launch. Post launch, you’ll monitor the campaign closely, and then optimize based on data. You’ll then report-in to the client on a bi-weekly basis.

Requirements and Qualifications:

This is a contract, remote position and is open to anyone in the continental U.S. You’ll be paid as a freelancer/1099. The Contract Digital Marketing Strategist will report to the agency CEO.

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of digital marketing strategy experience, either agency or client-side, or freelance.

The ideal digital marketing strategist will possess the following three qualities:

  1. Experience – You’ve managed high-level digital campaigns - inclusive of all of the campaign stages listed above
  2. Expertise – You have a DNA-level understanding of social platforms, digital advertising, search and overall online marketing; you revel in data and appreciate great content and design that deliver results
  3. Diligence - You’re hyper-organized and a maestro of task completion; you have an ability to develop schedules and ensure that both client and team adhere to the plan

Skills required: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with:

  •  Key social media ad platforms (FB/Insta, Twitter, YT, LinkedIn)
  • The Google Ads Platform
  • Content creation tools such as Canva, Photoshop or Figma (while you will not responsible for creating original content, you may need to provide suggestions or quick fixes)
